Robert “Bob” R. Hoffman II, 69, Rogersville, MO passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in his home surrounded by loved ones after an 18 month courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born December 4, 1946 in Springfield, MO. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of the Elks Lodge #409.
For fifty years, he was in auto sales, and worked last at Corwin Dodge, Springfield, MO.
Whatever he did, he did to the fullest, whether it was playing golf, playing pool, fishing or loving his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand. His easy smile and quick wit made you love being with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Theda Bailey and one sister, Harveda Clevenger.
Bob is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home, two sons, Robert R. Hoffman III and wife Pam of Jacksonville, FL and Roger McCool of Boston, MA, one step-daughter Jennifer Ramroth and husband Jim of Lebanon, MO, two sisters, Rita Brock and husband Carter of Rogersville, MO, Brenda Downs and husband Ken of Lee’s Summit, MO, one brother Ron Presley and wife June of Pleasant Hope, MO. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Daryel Clevenger, three grandchildren, Alicia, Jared and Kendrick. Two nieces also survive, Allison Carson and husband Paul of Rogersville, MO, and their children, Kara Harter and husband Zach, Casandra and Gabe Carson and Bailey Briner and husband Timothy and three nephews, Turner Brock, Dallas and Daryn Clevenger, and a host of long-time family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Pastor John Graham and Pastor Clyde Gray officiating.
Visitation will follow the services in the chapel.
