Marion L. (Bud) Higgins 81, Springfield, formerly of Seymour, Mo. passed away December 21, 2016, after short illness. . Bud was born on January 31, 1935, to Charles Parker (Shorty) and Anita C. Higgins. He was a U.S. Army, Korean War Veteran/Alert Status. He had owned and operated his own business, Toggery Dry Cleaners for over 30 years. He loved and played Bluegrass Music for many years.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Mae, his parents, and his siblings, Charles Hebert, Jim and Kenneth. He is survived by his daughter; Mari Ann (Mitzi) Starks (Buddy), and his two sons; Mark Higgins (Debbie) and Matt Higgins (Sandy), four grandchildren; Justin, Mariah, Kari, Julia, several nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m.in the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society.
