Sue Carol (Sawyers) Cheniae 94, Willard, MO. passed away March 12, 2020, at Willard Care Center, Willard, MO. Sue was born in Springfield, MO. on December 27, 1925, to Denny and Edith (Anderson) Smith. She attended school in the Springfield area, graduating from Central High School, in 1943. She worked as a secretary until the birth of her son, Blake Sawyers. She became a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, and do needlepoint. Sue was an active member of Willard-Mt.Zion Presbyterian Church, and contributed some her sewing projects to fund raising events. She was an avid reader, who loved to travel and get together with her many friends, whether to share a meal or to play cards and games.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Denny and Edith Smith, her husband, Everett Cheniae, her son, Blake Sawyers, her infant daughter, Carol Dean Sawyers, her step-son, Gordon Cheniae, and her brother: Ray Cunningham. She will be missed by her grandchildren, her step-daughter-in-law and her nieces and nephews. Memorial Donations may be made to The Humane Society of Springfield, MO.
Memorial Services will be AT 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 14, 2020, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
