Barbara Mae Belew, born May 27, 1931, passed away peacefully at her home in Springfield, MO on February 28, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian and Dr. Clifford Goforth, her sister, Roberta Jane (Janie) Lee, and her husband John W. Belew of Doniphan, MO.

She is survived by her children Craig (Cathy), Elizabeth and Paul (Julie). Grandchildren Cary, Casey, Chloe, Jodelyn and Scotlyn, great-grandchildren Maleek, Gianna and Katherine and her feline companion, Storm.

Barbara taught in the Lone Star, Doniphan and Poplar Bluff Missouri school systems for over 30 years. After she retired, she founded an antiques business that she loved. She enjoyed playing cards (and winning most of the time), reading mystery novels, watching golf and food shows on television and entertaining her family. She was a member of the Doniphan Methodist Church. She was smart, funny and independent and loved and adored by all that knew her.
