Kay had a personal relationship with Jesus since her childhood and she consistently reflected His sweet, loving kindness to everyone she met. She actively supported ministry over the years, has been an active member of First Baptist Madison in Tennessee and First Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. She had the heart of a teacher and would sit with her children and grandchildren for hours, playing board games, watching game shows, laughing, and enjoying life together. For the past 10 years, she lived at Park Place Retirement Center in Hendersonville, TN. Kay had a reputation for being a game master, participating in the daily activities at Park Place such as board games, puzzles, Bingo, and dominoes. She was unbeatable at Bible Trivia. She enjoyed the mental challenges along with the social and competitive aspects of playing games with others in her community. She leaves behind many wonderful friends at Park Place. She also loved sharing her family’s famous sourdough waffles with her family and many friends. Her sweet smile and gentle spirit will be missed. Her heart’s greatest desire was that everyone would know and experience the love and peace that her Savior Jesus has to offer.
Kay will be laid to rest next to Max at Greenlawn Cemetery in Springfield, MO later this summer.
