Very early in the morning of June 2, 2020, Charles Russell Beebe, born November 30, 1947
passed away in his sleep after fighting the effects of lung cancer for several years.
Charlie (or to many simply Chuck) grew up in Independence Missouri, going to school with his first wife (Elaine) with whom he had 7 children. He served in the U.S. Army on and off as a cook, mechanic and telephone lineman from 1968 to 1984. At that time, he made his last transition to civilian life and settled down in Springfield, Missouri, where most of his children lived with their mother. In Springfield he met and married Retha, who had 7 children of her own. Here, among other things, he worked as a cook, in construction and roofing, and tried his hand as a small business owner, when he opened the Parakeet Café. While volunteering at the DAV, as a driver and later as the local treasurer, he met Rosanne, who had 3 grown-up children of her own. All three of the women that he loved went before him, but he leaves behind so many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and loved ones who will miss him, but will cherish all of the precious moments they had with him.
We love you Dad and are happy that you finally found the peace you so deeply desired and richly deserve.
