Jo Brammer was born in Nashville, Arkansas on December 31, 1920 and entered into rest on February 19, 2021 in Springfield, Missouri.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; George and Ola Brown, two brothers; Harold and Russell, a daughter Carole and Jack, her beloved husband of 40 years.
Jack and Jo were active members of South National (later East Sunshine) Church of Christ for over 40 years. Jo taught Sunday school for many years and coordinated the Widowed Support Group for more than two decades. In recent years, Jo was a member of Sunset Church of Christ.
Jo attended Harding College and Southeastern Oklahoma University. She taught business courses for over thirty years with an emphasis on typing, shorthand and using proper English. Maybe you were corrected by Jo when you said, “where are you at?” Jo was a volunteer in the Gift Shop at Cox Medical Center South for 13 years and was a multi-year sponsor of Alpha Iota, an international honorary business sorority.
Survivors include: one son, Rick Brammer and one daughter, Judy Lanning, six grand-children; Scott, Chris, Emily, Jennifer, Richard, and Becky and fourteen great-grandchildren.
