Dixie L. Summers, 89, passed away on April 30,2021 in Elfindale Manor, Springfield, MO. Dixie was born to Earl and Clara (Ray) Adkins. She was raised by her grandmother, Abbie Adkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Oscar Summers in 2002. She is survived by her four daughters, Donna Russell and husband Roger Russell, Sherry Alexander and husband Tim Alexander, Sandra Wiser and husband Paul Wiser, and Lisa Bitton and husband Shawn Bitton. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ashley Ewing, Stacie Schardt, Melissa Easterday, Justin Wiser, and Bailey Bitton. Five great grandchildren, Addyson Ewing, Austin Ewing, Gracie Pflumm, Owen Easterday, Amelia Schardt. Also surviving is her sister, Debbie Woods. Dixie enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was dedicated to her family. The family would like to extend their greatest gratitude to the entire staff at the Manor at Elfindale for making her final years as comfortable and dignified as possible.
