Douglas (Doug) Alan Brock, of Strafford, Missouri went to be with his Lord, Friday, May 7, 2021 at the age of 59.

Doug is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Mike (Mandie) Brock, Amanda Brock, Andrew Brock, and Josh (Aubrey) Brock; grandchildren Jamison, Gavin, Caedence, Grady, Aleyson, and Gunner; mother Dolly Algoe; siblings, Diana Cooperider, Darla (Marty) Slocum, Debra Newberry, and David (Deb) Brock. He is preceded in death by his grandmother June.

Doug was born May 16, 1961 in Carroll, Iowa to his mother, Dolly Algoe. Doug was raised in and fondly remembered Glidden, Iowa as his hometown.

On August 30, 1986, Doug married the love of his life, Mary. Together they moved and built a life in the Springfield, Missouri area. Doug was a proud employee of Associated Wholesale Grocers for 32 years. Doug was a faithful attendee and board member of Trinity Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and could often be found fishing from his dock with the latest lures. A lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, and Iowa Hawkeyes, Doug loved watching games with his family.

Doug’s greatest joy was found in sharing and creating memories with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Pa.” Affectionately, Pa was another one of the kids, and loved being alongside them whenever he could.

Doug’s life was centered on his obedience and faith in the Lord. He was a devoted servant and found comfort and strength in reading and studying Scripture. His loss on earth is immeasurable, however his family finds comfort in knowing he is now with his Savior.

Services will be held, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Greenlawn East Funeral Home, 3540 E. Seminole Springfield, MO 65809. A visitation will be held from 12 – 2 PM, and a funeral at 2 PM. A burial service will immediately follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3506 N. National, Springfield, MO 65803.
