Jim passed peacefully at home on May 30, 2021.
Jim was born August 30, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, the youngest son of Charles D. and Dorothy A. Eldridge. He earned his Bachelor’s in Business from Missouri University. He worked 36 years as a management supervisor for General Motors. He and his wife, Judy, moved to Branson from Michigan in 2001. Jim was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of First Baptist Church of Branson, and served with The Gideons International. He enjoyed being outdoors, serving in ministry through construction, and spending time with his family. He was a master puzzler.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, James Travis Eldridge of San Antonio, Texas; daughters: Marty Jones of Pittsburg, Missouri; Jamie Drakey of Overland Park, Kansas; Jill Eldridge of Overland Park, Kansas; Jodi Doran of Franklin, Tennessee; and Jordan Robinson of Ozark, Missouri; sister, Beverly Sapp of Columbia, Missouri, and 11 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory are suggested to The Gideons International, College of the Ozarks, or to Jim’s foreign missions interests, made payable to the family.
