Roy Gene Swain, 70, Springfield, MO. passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 in his home after a long illness. He was born on July 10, 1951, in Springfield, MO. to Arthur and Catheryn (Gallion) Swain Jr. Roy was a retired Deputy Sheriff, from the Lawrence county, MO. Police. Roy was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam era. Roy enjoyed spending time with his family , he also enjoyed collecting lighthouses and enjoyed watching the St.Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents. Roy is survived by his daughter: Tina Nelson, two grandsons, three sisters: Sheryl K. McCarty (Donald Calvin McCarty), Julia A. Sniyder, and Rebekah S. Swain-Wormington (Garold), two brothers: Jack Swain (Denise) and Grady L. Swain, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with Mlitary Honors will be at a later date with burial to follow., in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens
