Was married on November 10, 1961, to Judy Rebecca Payne together they had four children, Rebecca Joy Phillips, Janice Kay Davis Spouse, Grey Holden Davis, Donald Lyle Phillips, and David Robert Phillips spouse April Elizabeth Phillips. He also had 9 grandchildren, Michael Douglas Shope, Trisha Ann Shope, Ashley Nicole Shope, Tasheena Rebecca Shope, Joshua David Phillips, Jacob Wesley Phillips, Jenna Leann Phillips, Logan Lyle Phillips, and Mikaylea Layne Phillips, following 9 great-grandchildren.
He owned an upholstery business for about 65 years. He loved fishing with his dad, camping with family, and cooking on an open fire. He played baseball ever since he was a young child. He was a royal ranger leader for church about 3 years.
Visitation for Donald will be Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
