SCOTT FRAKER left a message on November 29, 2021:
Kelly, Marcy & I were on Vacation and just learned of Matt's passing today. There are no words to convey our deepest sympathy to you and to your children. When Matt came to work at Auto Magic/Jiffy Lube in the early 90's I was the Business Accts Director before moving to a Location. Matt was my 1st introduction to Park Crest Baptist. He had invited me to go play Basketball on a Tuesday Night there. That night I met Brian Grey and several others to which I am very close to this day. 2 years later I would be married there, my Children all Saved there, My sending Church and My Ministerial Licensing there, and as of last month my youngest daughter Lindy is the New Children's Director there. Matt knowingly or unknowingly was a part in where God was leading me at the time...though I certainly didn't know it, but I am grateful for something as small as an invite to a pick up basketball game on a random Tuesday night. Please feel free to reach out to us anytime. The reason I travel and speak from Coast to Coast is to keep those who are left with the questions of Why? from spending even 1 single day in a Valley of Regret. May God fill the void with His Richest Love to You and your Children. Scott & Marcy Fraker

I liked Matt from the moment I met him. His enthusiasm was infectious, he helped me see the humor in mundane situations, and he was exceptionally skilled as a leader. Just being around him made me want to be better as an officer and a man. I am honored and proud to have served with him. May God draw near to his family and friends and comfort us all with his peace as we grieve. "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep." (I Thessalonians 4:13-14)
