Wendell (Sonny) Comer, 71, Fair Grove, MO. passed away January 15, 2022, in his home, after a long illness. He was born in Hamberg, Iowa, on February 18, 1950, to Joseph and Edna (Suttle) Comer. Sonny was a self-employed carpenter and builder. He loved spending time with his family, some of his other hobbies were fishing, hunting, woodworking, going to the casino, and driving around in his Audi. He had been a member of the Free Masons and had become a Shriner.
Sonny was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Sue Elsey Comer, they were married in Miami, Oklahoma, on October 18, 1968. He was also preceded in death by his parents: Joseph Comer and Lucille Wayland. He is survived by his two daughters: Wendy McAtee and her husband, Daryl, and Carrie Rippe and her husband, Marcus Sr. seven grandchildren: Marcus Rippe Jr. and his wife, Ashlyn, Tori and fiancee Jon, Samantha and husband, Austin, Cheyenne and husband, Jessie, Abby and fiancee Bill, Kelci and Jacob, his great-grandchildren: Jordan, Mollie, Braxton, Hayden, Amiyah, Aubrey, Jaxson, Harley, and Sonny, his brother, Randy Comer and his sister: Vicki Neurenburg, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before services at the funeral home.
