Jean Louise Wisdom, 90, of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 1, 2022. Jean was born on January 9, 1931 in Ottumwa, IA, the daughter of Hugo and Grace (Sargent) Alm. Jean worked as a secretary at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, MO for many years. She loved her family, gardening, square dancing, and reading a good book. She is survived by her children Kathryn J. Maley and Michael P. Maley, her brother, Bill Alm, her stepchildren, Kim (Wisdom) Evans and Mike Wisdom, as well as three grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and 14 step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Vernon P. Maley, her second husband, Gail Wisdom, her son Dennis W. Maley, and her stepson Rick Wisdom. A memorial service will be held online at a later date. In lieu of flowers, any memorial tributes can be made in the form of charitable donations to the Springfield-Greene County Library District, or your own local library.
