Ralph Kenneth DeHaven, PhD., 89, of Anderson passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born August 23, 1932, in Springfield, Missouri, he was the son of the late William DeHaven and the late Peggy Harris DeHaven. Ken was a retired professor from Clemson University and Tri-County Technical College. He enjoyed tractors and horses and was a co-founder of the National Walking Horse Association. Ken was known as one of the top dairy farmers not only in the community but in the state of Missouri during the 1950’s and early 1960’s.
Surviving are his wife, Rosalee Ray DeHaven of Anderson, sons: Bruce DeHaven (Linda) of Anderson, Brian DeHaven (Jessica) of Minnesota, and daughter, Travea Cutts (Mark) of Anderson; grandchildren: Maggie DeHaven Gagne, Joshua DeHaven, Morgan Cutts, and Madison Cutts, and one great granddaughter, Lilyanna Bren. He was preceded in death by his two sisters.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 3, from 4 until 5 pm. At Sullivan-King Mortuary. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Fair Grove, Missouri on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
A visitation will be held in Springfield, Missouri, from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
