On Friday, April 15, 2022, Raymond Dee Rudy, 83, loving husband and father went to his heavenly home surrounded by family and friends.
“Rudy” as he was known by those who loved him, was born February 24, 1939, to Virgil Raymond Rudy and Martha A W (Krieves) Rudy in Salamonia, Indiana. He attended the former Madison schools in Indiana.
He lived in or near Union City, Indiana for the first part of his life and moved to Springfield MO in 1993 to be near his family. Even though he was a self-employed construction worker for most of his life, he also worked for Townsend Tree Service of Muncie IN. and Asplundh Tree company for many years.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Phyliss (Rudy) Mills, his son, Mark Anthony Rudy, son Raymond Scott Rudy and son-in-law Matthew S. Key.
Rudy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Denise (Wenger) Rudy and his children. Robin Key of Springfield MO., Sherry Morgan (R Todd Morgan) of Tulsa OK., Rick Rudy (Thuy) of Ozark MO, Loretta J. Williams (Rusty Williams) of Springfield MO and stepson Cary R Enicks (Erin) of Blue Springs, MO.
Also, his 15 grandchildren, Natasha, Lucas, Brooke, Lindsey, Mckinzie, Madison, Tara, Ryan, Garrett, Grayson, Brandon, Brock, Jordan, Kelsey, Keagan and Hayden. 18 great grandchildren.
Rudy retired in 2011. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed his daily breakfast time at his favorite Waffle House, bantering with the workers. He was a favorite among all who knew him.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be at Greenlawn North 3506 N National Springfield MO on Monday April 18, 2022
