Theresa Stafford, 103, born August 27, 1918 to Ben and Nettie Tracy Richmond in Green County, Missouri, passed away July 2, 2022 in Springfield, MO. She graduated from Fair Grove High School. Theresa married Lowell Stafford on May 22, 1937 and shared a marriage of almost 72 years, until his death in 2008. They were members of Temple Baptist church. After his death she moved to Creekside Lodge where she resided until her death.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters, her husband Lowell, and their son Lowell Jackson “Jack” Stafford, and granddaughter Theresa Stafford Fincher. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Kay Clark and her husband Bob of Edmond, OK, daughter-in-law Sandy Stafford of Kansas City, MO, five granddaughters, twelve great grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren; along with many friends, and five very special friends who helped throughout her later years: Lynda Stigall, Dale and Nancy Taylor, Keith Faust, and Vallery Wallace.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at Greenlawn South at ll:00 am on Thursday, July 7, 2022 with interment preceding at Cedar Bluff Cemetery, Fair Grove, MO. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
