Bettie Jane (Carden) Wise, 91 of Springfield, MO, passed away on July 19th at Cox Medical Center following a short illness. She was born September 6, 1930 near Walnut Grove, MO to George A. Carden Sr. and Helene (Pollack) Carden. On April 7, 1950 Bettie was united in marriage to Norman Wise. She retired from Cox Health Systems as a secretary in the nursing administrative office. Bettie served as a pianist and organist in several local Southern Baptist churches. She was currently a member of Golden Harvest Baptist Church and was loved by all family and friends. Preceding Bettie in death were her parents, 1 brother, and husband. Survivors include 1 daughter Norma Tummons and her husband Joe of Springfield, MO, a son Ron Wise and his wife Kim of Springfield, three grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 1 step grandson, six step-great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. The visitation will be held Sunday July 24th from 4-6pm and the funeral service will be at 10am July 25th at Greenlawn East, 3540E. Seminole, Springfield, MO with interment to follow in Frazier Cemetery west of Nixa.
