Barbara Kay (Coberly) Morrison, age 74, of Springfield passed away Friday, September 23rd, 2022 at Cox South.
Barbara was born January 16, 1948 in Mount Vernon, IL , the daughter of Herman and Emma Coberly. Barbara was a graduate of Central High School. She was united in marriage to Clinton Morrison on November 4, 1978. She worked at Strout Realty for many years, where she met Clinton. She also worked at Mercantile Bank from where she retired. Barbara enjoyed making homemade crafts and jewelry, traveling, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Clinton Morrison; three children, Nicolette Glancy and husband James, Kristen Morrison and wife Abigail, and Ryan Morrison and fiancée Nicole Librach; one grandson, Garrett Glancy; one sister, Rosemary Kircher and husband Ron; and a host of family and friends.
She can never be replaced and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Emma Coberly, sister Anna Coberly, and her beloved Boston Terrier Casey.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with inurnment in Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
