Carolyn Sue Gugel, age 76, of Willard, Mo, passed away on November 30, 2022, after a short battle with cancer.

Carolyn was born on March 24, 1946, to Oran and Marie Hall in Willard, MO. She graduated from Willard High School in 1964.

In 1965, she met John Howard Gugel on a blind date, and they wed March 12, 1966, going on to have three children, Howard, Kim, and Kerri.

When Carolyn had her children, she dedicated herself to providing a Godly example to them. She was a passionate seamstress, providing many in her family and church community with handmade items that have been passed down through generations. She was a longtime member of Berean Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities over the years, serving in the choir, youth ministry, vacation bible school, and was most passionate serving as a nursery attendant.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Oran and Marie Hall, her brothers Harold and Howard Hall, and her sister Reba Cook. She is survived by her husband, John Gugel, her son Howard (Julie) Gugel, daughters Kimberly (Dan) Stober and Kerri (Bob) Carleton, grandchildren Matthew (Amy) Carleton, Jonathon Carleton, Tyler Carleton, Joshua Gugel, Anna Gugel, Adam Gugel, Ryan (Lindsey) Stober, Alyssa (Brandyn) Phillips, and Evan (Madison) Stober, and four great-grandchildren, Eleanor Grace Carleton, Adalynn Marie Carleton, Oliver Jude Carleton, and Layna June Stober, her sister Nancy Roberts, and her longtime best friend Carol Gilmore and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of her life on Thursday, December 8^th, 2022 at Berean Baptist Church in Springfield, MO.
