JoAnn Cornell, age 91 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, in her home. She was born January 22, 1931, in Rexburg, ID, to Delbert and Beatrice (Gilbertson) Jensen. She was united in marriage to Ralph Cornell August 31, 1949, and to this union nine children were born. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Buffalo Ward.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph; three daughters: Beatrice, Bonnie, and Sherrie; three grandsons: Sean Tanner, Rodney Compton, and Christopher Cornell; one granddaughter Renee Bumgardner; and two great grandsons: Bradley Riggins, and Brendan Webb.
JoAnn is survived by six children: Janice Ballinger of Bolivar, MO, Penny Bumgardner of Ojai, CA, Sandra Hewitt of Bolivar, MO, Jerry Cornell (Sherri) of Santa Maria, CA, Jimmy Cornell (Tina) and Gary Cornell all of Bolivar, MO; 26 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren; two sisters: Margie Jensen, and Dixie Haddon (Arlin) of ID; a son in-law Walter Wills of OH; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 11:00 to 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Services will follow at 1:00 pm, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Aldrich, MO.
