Jimmie Dale Craver, 82, of Springfield, MO, passed away Sunday, March 19,2023. He was born February 7, 1941, in Oklahoma City, OK to Andrew and Ethel Craver. He graduated from South Gate High in South Gate, CA and continued his education at Golden West in Huntington Beach, CA. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States army from 1959-1964. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann (Jill) June 25, 1966, and to this union two children were born, James Robert and Robert Charles.
He started his police career in Lynwood, CA and continued it at Huntington Beach police department as a Sergeant flying helicopters and working undercover. From there, he moved to Buffalo, MO to be a dairy farmer and ended his work career with Missouri Farm Bureau as the Regional Director of Agencies. He spent his free time loving his family, boating, traveling, golfing, and spending time in Havasu City, AZ with close friends.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother; and his three siblings: Alene Long, Joseph and Charlie Craver.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann (Jill) Craver of the home; his children: James Robert Craver and his wife Beth of Springfield, MO, and Robert Charles Craver and his wife Lori, granddaughter Rylee and grandson Bryson of Pleasant Hope, MO; as well as many nephews and nieces.
Jimmie will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, Papa, and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. A Veteran’s Honor Ceremony will be held for the immediate family.
