Our sincere condolences to Max’s family. The greatest advice that Max gave us, as newly hired Federated Rep., “Was to enjoy your kids while they are young because they grow up way too fast”. We heeded his advice and have always been grateful.

Steve Francke left a message on April 13, 2023:
Words cannot express how much Uncle Max meant to me. One of the kindest, thoughtful and genuine persons I’ve ever known who always was interested in whatever was going on in my life. He and Aunt Farrell were an inspiration to so many and Max was my Mother’s closest confidant. On behalf on my sister Laura and my wife Andrea, please know that the extended McClay and Kruzan families as well as Nick Gauss and Mike Beasley are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Max will be missed greatly but the positive impact he had on so many will remain in our hearts forever. Love, Steve, Laura and Andrea Francke (King, NC and Flint, MI).
