Juanita (Rader) Randolph, 93, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, April 10. She was born March 4, 1930, to Adam and Delpha (Peters) Rader in Rader, Missouri. Juanita met her future husband, James William “Bud” Randolph, in 1947 while attending the Webster County Fair, after being introduced by Bud’s sister Billie. Juanita and Bud wed on October 22, 1948, and were happily married for sixty years until his passing in 2008. Juanita was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield. She loved the Lord and was a true steward of God as she treated everyone she met with kindness and compassion. Juanita enjoyed attending weekly Bible study and always looked forward to spending time with family and friends. She was able to travel to a number of exciting places around the country with her family. She was a retired cafeteria worker with Springfield Public Schools, and she frequently spoiled her family with her delicious cinnamon rolls and homemade candy.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband Bud; sisters Velma Timmerman and husband Ed, Lois Wills and husband Don, Leona Medlock and husband Tommy, and Christena Lowrance and husband Charles; brother Vertis Rader; son-in-law Michael Cooper; sisters-in-law Marguerite McKenzie, Eva Lee Rader, Billie Bills, Erma Richards, and Rose Ann Hightower; and brothers-in-law Bob Randolph and Jim Randolph. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Cooper, and Anita Pendergrass and husband Gary, all of Springfield; four grandchildren, Christina Bell and husband Darrin of Bixby, OK; Emily Cooper of Frisco, TX; Ben Pendergrass and wife, Callie of Overland Park, KS; and Matt Pendergrass and wife Stephanie of Springfield; five great-grandchildren, Jacob Michael Bell, Noah Dee Bell, Elijah Lee Pendergrass, Tyler Luke Pendergrass, and Isabelle Louise Pendergrass, and many special nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13 at Greenlawn South Funeral Home, Springfield, MO from 6 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Springfield, MO on Friday, April 14 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Rader, MO at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Rader Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. “In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” Proverbs 12:28
