Sandra Sue Johnson, 65, of Fordland, Missouri passed away at Cox Medical Center South on June 16, 2023. Sandra was born on December 5, 1957, to Allen and Mollie Stockstill in Springfield, Missouri. Sandra was a 1975 graduate of Hillcrest High School. On September 5, 1976, Sandra married Jim Johnson, and they had three children.

Sandra was a loving and devoted mother and wife. She spent her days taking care of her garden, her kitchen (even though she hated doing dishes!), and her cat, Little Girl. She and Jim enjoyed walking in the woods together. She loved exploring the Ozarks by car or on foot. She and her daughter, Sarah, spent many hours flea marketing and garage sale-ing.  She loved sewing and crafting. Sandra enjoyed raising her grandson, Tobey, and spending time with her granddaughter, Sophea. No matter if it was animal or child, she would welcome them into her home with open arms and plenty of good food. She cared for many a stray in her life, both four and two legged. Sandra will be missed dearly by everyone who had the pleasure to meet her.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Tim Stockstill and infant, Gregory Stockstill.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Johnson of Fordland, MO; her three children: Benjamin Johnson of Seattle, WA, Samuel Johnson (Lindsey) of Marshfield, MO, and Sarah Robinson (Chris) of Springfield, MO; grandchildren Tobey Johnson and Sophea Johnson; sisters, LaDonna Blair (Pat) and Teresa Herrin of Springfield, MO, multiple nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.

A graveside service for Sandra will take place on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Mt. Comfort Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandra’s name to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
