Dale W. Sullens son of the late Willis Sullens and Ilah Sullens , was born June 27^th , 1942 in Pittsburg Kansas, and passed away September 28^th, 2023, in Springfield MO.

Dale is survived by his daughter Melody Andrews and her husband George of Webb City MO; granddaughter Mikayla Hainline of Springfield MO; granddaughter Kassandra Ambrosius and husband Zane and great-grandson Zeke of Joplin MO. He is also survived by his son Rob Sullens and his wife Tracy of Ft. Worth TX; grandson Hayden Sullens of Ft. Worth TX; and granddaughter Haylee Sullens of Ft. Worth TX.  His beloved Lydia.

Dale is a native of Ozark Mountain Country. Music played an early role in his life. Dale started participating in state music contests by the time he reached 3rd grade. He was also active in sports like baseball and basketball while in high school, and admits that his ambition at one time was to play professional baseball.

After high school, Dale attended Kansas State College and earned a Bachelors Music Education Degree in 1964.  He continued in school and earned his Masters in Music in 1967.

Dale said that one of his earliest honors came in 1962 when he was selected as one of the two oboists from United States universities to travel with the national Kappa Kappa Psi band. He was also selected in 1963 to tour Germany and France as a vocalist with the U.S.O.

Dale was a music director for both choral and instrumental music for twelve years in Kansas and Missouri and was a member of the Joplin, Missouri Symphony for 12 years.

In 1967 Dale became part of the Foggy River Boys as part of the 4 part harmony singing the tenor part which started out in the Joplin MO area singing gospel music. In 1971 the Foggy River Boys rented a theater in Kimberling City MO and moved to Branson MO in 1973. Dale performed with the Foggy River Boys Music Show until 1993 when he retired.

Dale loved working in his yard and had his own Lawn Service for several years. He loved playing a good game of golf with his children and friends.

Later on Dale loved making memories with his 4 grandchildren and family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday October 7^th, 2023 at Kimberling City Methodist Church.  Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:00am. Service will be after starting at 10:00am.  Graveside services will be at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Cemetery Jasper MO.
