Richard Norman Shields age 76 of Hollister, Missouri passed away on September 30, 2023 in Branson, Missouri.

He was born on June 17, 1947 at Tulsa, Oklahoma the son of Donald M. and Francis Chan Wilhelm Shields.  He moved to Taney County in 1989 from Oklahoma.  Richard played the part of the shepherd at Shepherd of The Hills Theater for over 30 years.  He was a member of the Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church where he was active and served on the Church Council, was an Elector for 34 years and was an Eucharist Minister.  He had been a member of Screen Actors Guild.

Survivors are his wife; Paula Shields of the home in Hollister, Mo., two sons, Blair (Mary) Shields of McKinney, Texas and Ryan Shields of Diamond, Mo.  One brother, Doug (Marcia) of Texas, two sisters; Kathy Keating of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Beth Shields of Dallas, Texas.  Four grandchildren, Emma, Lola, Madison and Irish.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donnie & Drew Shields.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2023  at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Branson  with a visitation to be held from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
