Russell Hancock Breeden, age 81, Springfield, MO. passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, in Mercy Hospital after a long illness. He was born on October 8, 1941, in Gap Mills, West Virginia, to John West Breeden and Ethyl Marie (Frederick) Breeden. He had worked as a Maintenance worker, for Wal-Mart Stores, retiring after 36 years of service.
On April 5, 1974, he was united in marriage to Margie Ann (Eisley) Breeden, they recently celebrated their 49th year of marriage. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, John West Breeden and Ethyl Marie (Frederick) Breeden and his son: Bobby Eugene Helms four brothers, and two sisters. Russell is survived by his wife, Margie Ann Breeden, their children: Sherri Jamie Milam and her husband, Butch Milam, Rosa LeEtta Gerlach, Greg Alan Helms, and his wife, Bre Helms, Lisa Kay Breeden, and Johnna Creighton. Eleven Grandchildren: David, Aalesha, Karissa, Amber, Kristen, Josh, Caitlin, Hadley, Aniston, Tyler, and Emily. Seven great-grandchildren: Kindall, Sylis, Jaiden, Jace, Colton, Kaylee, and Jax, and one sister: Nellie McWilliams.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be one hour before the service, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. No burial is planed. Cremation is under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
