Michael “Mike” Charles Seeman, 71, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on October 23, in Springfield, Missouri. Mike grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he met his beautiful wife, Kathi. They were married February 25, 1983, in a small courthouse wedding. They welcomed their baby girl, Amanda, soon after. Mike worked for Quaker Oats for several years in Cedar Rapids and moved to Missouri after his retirement; where he spent his days antiquing with his wife, fishing, spending time at the lake, and talking about his granddaughter, Hayden Grace, whom he adored. Mike was well known for his ability to pinch pennies but had no problems showing his love for his family.
Mike is preceded in death by his father and mother, Ernest and Hazel Seeman and brother, Joe Seeman. He is survived by his wife, Kathi; daughter, Amanda (AJ) Holmes; granddaughter, Hayden; and his brother, Dan (Judy) Seeman. A celebration of life will be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. The date to be determined at a later time.
