Ida Earlene West, age 92, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on April 4, 2024, at after a long battle with colon and liver cancer. She went by her middle name, Earlene her entire life.

Earlene was born to William Loftis and Eliza Loftis on August 15, 1931 in Romance, MO. She loved school and went on to college to pursue new interest. She worked numerous jobs but seemed to enjoy selling Avon for 18 years. She loved all her customers. Earlene met Elmer Goodman in Ava, Missouri and later married. They were married 44 years.

Earlene was preceded in death by her parents William and Eliza Loftis; her 1st husband, Elmer Goodman and her 2nd husband, Kenneth West; daughter Lila Woodruff; brothers, Clyde Loftis, Clinton Loftis, Everett Loftis; sisters, Esther Welch, Sue Warden, Maxine Miller.

She is survived by  her son Terry Goodman; daughter-in-law Donna Goodman; daughter Sherry Goodman; daughter Sandra Wiles; son Dennis Goodman; adopted grand daughter Laurie Coots. She is also survived by 11 grand children, 13 great grand children and 3 great great grandchildren.

Earlene loved Jesus who she said blessed her in so many ways. She attended South Haven Baptist Church. She started everyday with prayer and continued with prayer during the day and night

Services for Earlene will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 16, 2024  at South Haven Baptist Church with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
