Reba Catlett, age 97, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024, at The Maples in Springfield MO. She was born November 5, 1926, to Letha and Richard Lawson in Wyandotte, OK. She was united in marriage to Darrell Long on October 3, 1943, who preceded her in death in 1979.
She later remarried Lewis Catlett in 1987, who preceded her in death in 1995.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved tending to her yard, gardening and watching the birds from the glider on her porch.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Letha McCall and Richard Lawson, her husband Darrel Long, her second husband Lewis Catlett, her daughter, Darlene Scrivener, and her siblings Buck Lawson, Bud Lawson, Calvin McCall and Doris Owens.
Reba is survived by her daughters Alene Deckard, Janet (Jerry) Morris, and bonus daughter Karen Templeton. Six grandchildren: Debi (Claude) Bockhold, Kerri Gass, Angela Strickler, Jennifer Deckard, Brooke Morris, Megan Morris, and Eric Krueger; twelve great-grandchildren: Quinton Bockhold, Shanda Wendt, Cory Gass, RaShell Gass, Miley Gass, Cole Strickler, Collin Strickler, Gavin Coffman, Kynleigh Deckard, Chase Maddux, Hailey Krueger, and Seth Krueger; eight great-great grandchildren: Dameon Fullington, CJ Weston, Reigha Fullington, Rylinn Wendt, Haiven Fryock, Cadence Gass, Emily Gass, River Strickler; her sister Elzada Endicott and her sister-in-law Carol McCall; niece Chanda McCall and many additional nieces and nephews.
Arrangements will be provided by Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will be on June 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
