With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Georgia Lea Bellinger, 85, a cherished mother and grandmother, who passed away on August 3, 2024, in Bolivar, MO. She was born on May 2, 1939, in Springfield, MO, to Miles and Flossie (Malone) Barker, the youngest daughter of 12 siblings.
Georgia held a special place in the hearts of many as a dedicated store manager in the retail industry. She served on the Polk County Tax Board and the Humansville Senior Center Board.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Rebecca Wright, and her husband, Jack, of Kansas City, MO and Leah Washington of Tucson, AZ; her brother, Bill Barker, and his wife, Sharon, and Georgia’s best friend, Arlene Lear, who will deeply miss her presence in their lives. She will also be remembered by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Bellinger; her parents, Miles Barker and Flossie (Malone) Barker; son, Steven Nixie, and daughter, Dawn Barrett.
