Max Jesse Lyles, Jr. age 79 passed away at his Ridgedale home on Thursday, August 29, 2024 with his wife and grandson, Jayden by his side.
He was born January 10, 1945 to Max and Margie (Flood) Lyles in Springfield, Mo. He graduated from Hillcrest High School where he participated in numerous sports, earning him scholarships in baseball and in golf. He was active as class president, class of 1963 and participated in planning numerous class reunions. He was employed by Hogan Land Title in Springfield until his retirement June 13, 2024 as Title Examiner.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his soulmate, Katherine Miller-Lyles, daughters, Julie Heron of Topeka, Kansas, Christine Harris (Snoop) of Camdenton, MO. and Alison Lyles of Kansas City. Three step-sons, Aaron, Nathan and Jordan Miller and families. Together he and Katherine shared and loved a dozen grandchildren and one great grandson and three miniature Dachshunds.
A Memorial visitation service is scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2024 from 5:00 –7:00 PM at Greenlawn North Funeral Home at 3506 N. National Avenue in Springfield, Missouri.
Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or your local Humane Society.
