In loving memory of Steven Michael Holt, a man who lived life in the fast lane, with a heart of gold and a spirit of determination. Born to Derral E. and Barbara Ann (Naylor) Holt on January 13, 1966, in Springfield, Missouri, Steve had a zest for racing that ignited in his early years and stayed with him until his final lap. He crossed the final finish line on October 13, 2024, in his home.
Steve was adventurous and ornery. He liked to spend time watching his dad work on engines, spending time with his siblings, Connie and Brian, and admiring every dog that crossed his path. He was apart of the Willard High School graduating class of 1984.
Passionate about automobiles, Steve pursued a career as an automobile mechanic, dedicating over four decades of his life to Mother’s Automotive. His talents earned him accolades and a reputation for excellence in the industry.
On November 14, 1992, Steve married his beloved wife, Dianna Lynn Earnhardt, in a joyous ceremony in Bois D’Arc, Missouri. Together, they were blessed with a son, Dylan Michael, whom Steve cherished with all his heart.
His family meant everything to him, and his hard work was driven by his desire to provide for them and create lasting memories. Steve’s sense of humor and playfulness touched the hearts of all who knew him, making him a cherished member of the community.
Steve’s love for travel took him to the beautiful Caribbean Islands, where he found solace and joy in the serenity of the ocean. His laughter and jokes will echo through the memories of his loved ones for years to come.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Dianna Holt, his son, Dylan Holt, his parents, Derral and Barbara Holt, his siblings and their spouses, Connie and Bob Hopkins, and Brian and Sharon (Schobert) Holt, his nephews and nieces Justin Hopkins, Jessica Rice, Haley Holt, and Hayden Holt, his beloved dog, Brutus, numerous other family members and friends.
We celebrate the life of Steven Michael Holt and honor his legacy with gratitude and love. Join us in remembering him as we gather for his memorial service on a date to be announced soon. Let us pay tribute to a man who lived passionately, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
May his spirit race on, forever and always. Rest in peace, dear Steve.
