Rev Keith Lee was 96 years old when he stepped from this life into Glory. Even as passwords, some form of the word “Glory” was always on his mind. He lived life as a United Methodist pastor for 37 years and then as a part-time pastor that Jesus Christ might be Glorified. Keith was reading about, talking about, studying, worshiping, praying to, thinking about, inviting someone to know the Glory of Jesus. The Glory of God was never far from him.
Keith could do more than one thing at once. So while he was meditating on glory…. He loved to grow more food than a family could eat in his garden. Riding around on the lawn mower over 10 acres of grass was a thrill. Woodworking, fishing for a meal, going to church, Sunday School, small groups, posting spiritual insights on Facebook, eating out with friends, making strawberry jelly and fixing a gooseberry-raisin pie from scratch to share with a neighbor: all help to define his joy of living.
He was deeply committed to his family and closest friends. His grand-daughters were the pride of his life and he always made time to help them, meet up for a meal, listen to a funny story or a heartbreak. He supported all his family with his love, words and prayed for them daily.
As they mourn, those left behind, Son, Tim and wife Angie, Daughter Lois, Grandchildren Hannah, Rebekah, Abigail and Dusty and Greatgrandchildren, Cora and Graham, honorary Son, Brent Smith and wife Flavia will carry on his legacy of faithful service to our King. “We do not mourn as those who have no hope!” Glory!! There are a host of friends and loved ones who can bear testimony as Keith stepped into Glory and joined his beloved wife, Coralie at the Throne of Grace.
