Randall “Randy” Mayfield, age 54, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on November 3, 2024. Randy was born to Jack Mayfield and Laura Cady on January 7, 1970, in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He was raised in Berwyn, Illinois, and graduated from Morton West High School in 1988. He earned an Associate’s degree from Morton College and his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Governor’s State University.

Randy was employed as a Chief Financial Officer with Post Environmental for twelve years. When not working, Randy enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He had many interests including food, cars, and finding his newest deal. Nothing, however, brought him more joy than his fur babies, Paris and Chachi.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank and Dorothy Fiala, Paul and Ruth Cady, and Marie Bartolini; and his father, Jack Mayfield. He is survived by his loving parents, Bruce and Laura Cady; sister, Lori Post (Craig); and brother, Russell Mayfield (Kathy). He was well loved by his nieces and nephew Corey Post (Katie), Caitie White (Zach), and Cassi Lowry (Austin); and his great nieces and nephews: Clara Post, Carter Post, Griffen White, Peyton and Kinsley Lowry, and baby SJ White. They were his pride and joy.

A Celebration of Life for Randy will be held on November 23, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm, at The Roost located at 2510 S State Hwy MM, Republic, MO 65738. Randy will be laid to rest on May 24, 2025, in Countryside, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Randy’s memory to the Humane Society.

Randy will be remembered for always having something smart to say, and always making us laugh. The family requests that you share your favorite stories of Randy with them and help keep his memory alive.
