Donald Keith Eagleburger 92, of Fair Grove, MO passed away at Mt. Vernon Veteran’s Home, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, after a battle of double pneumonia.
Donald was born on July 25 th, 1932, the 5th child of 13 children by Lema (Vineyard) and Orval Charles Eagleburger.
Don and Glenda (McMillan) were united in marriageon June 25, 1955, at Mt.Olive Baptist Church in Fair Grove. They lived in the same house they built when married for 63 years, until Glenda’s death in 2019.
Don is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda, his parents, six brothers and three sisters. He is survived by two children, Keitha Louise Ellison (husband Roger) of Springfield, MO and Rankin Kerry Eagleburger of Fair Grove, MO, two brothers: Dean of Veradale, WA, Larry of Buffalo, Mo, one sister, Shirley of Fair Grove, MO. as well as numerous brother- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Mt. Olive cemetery, near Fair Grove, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post 38. P.O. Box 172, Fair Grove, Mo 65648. Don was the longest living active member for 68 continuous years. Thanks goes out to the Mt. Vernon Veteran’s Home for their care during Don’s stay since February.
