It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Keith Blevins, who was born on August 10, 1949, in Springfield, Missouri. Keith, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, went to be with Jesus on January 16, 2025.
Keith was known for his strong work ethic throughout his working career, never showing up late or taking sick days. He much preferred his most recent position as #1 babysitter to his granddaughters, Birdie and Dottie. Keith found his joy in providing for his family and loved ones and spent as much time at his farm, his favorite place in the world, as he could. He spent many weekends tending to his cattle, cutting wood, and watching his children and later grandchildren play in the creek. He found peace in stillness and the simple things in his life, such as listening to the creek, laying in the hammock, walks in his woods, seeing a beautiful American flag flying in the wind, the first tomato from his garden each year, and sitting by a warm fire.
Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Blevins, and his grandparents Clell and Nora Blevins. He was survived by his wife, Anne Blevins, and his daughters Shannon James, Shelly Woods, Sharla Fields, and Bonnie Thomas; and sons Kyle Blevins and Seth Thomas; his sister Jill Ann Popejoy, aunt and uncle, Karen and Benny Harris; as well as his treasured grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring Keith’s life. A visitation will take place on January 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 4:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
As we gather to honor Keith’s life, we are reminded of his labors of love, generosity, the way he made us laugh, and the precious time spent together. His memory is a blessing to all who knew and loved him and he will be remembered in the simple things.
