To the family, I’m very sorry for your loss. Mr. Van Hook was the best teacher and mentor. He was kind, caring and supportive. He stepped up and helped me get through my senior year of high school. I’ve always been grateful to have had him in a small portion of my life. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Van Hook was a favorite teacher of mine. I had him for Accounting. He was an excellent instructor with a wonderful sense of humor. My condolences to his family. I’m praying for peace, comfort and strength as you mourn the passing of a great man.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Dawn Kinloch left a message on April 28, 2025:
Jackie was one of grandpas (Bob Kinloch) best friends! As long as I can remember Jack has been involved it our family in some way. After I moved out, our family started meeting at Steak ‘n Shake on Sundays for breakfast, where Jack would bicker with papa like they were 14 year old brothers. Their constant banter always made for laughs. After breakfast, Papa and Jack went to church. As time went on, papa and Jack wanted to live closer to each other to help each other with whatever they needed. Jack often spoke about how much he missed his wife and sons. May they be joined in love for all eternity!

Mr. Van Hook was one of my favorite instructors at Central High School. Such a kind man and an excellent teacher. But I especially appreciate his wonderful sense of humor (as he moved me from desk to desk around his classroom to keep me from "socializing"). My sympathies to his family as you celebrate his life and legacy.

My condolences to the family. Mr. Vanhook taught me typing at Central High School. The man was a genius and had a sense of humor that was huge! He was my favorite teacher in all four years at Central. God Bless his soul.
