Jerry Keith Wallace, age 82, of Nixa, MO, passed away peacefully Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home. He was born September 10, 1942, in Oldfield, MO, to Dale and Wilma Lorene Wallace. He graduated from Chadwick High School in 1959. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Nadean Hawkins on October 14, 1960. They were married for fifty-four years. Jerry accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a teenager. He and Dorothy were members of Park Crest Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. For over 30 years, Jerry and Dorothy owned and operated Wallace Transfer & Storage, Inc. (referred to as the “Office” by his children and grandchildren), where they made many wonderful memories alongside their family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and his parents, Dale Keith Wallace and Wilma Lorene Wallace.

He is survived by two daughters, Marcie Bassett and husband Steven of Nixa and Rachelle Bassett and husband Timothy of Nixa; eight grandchildren: Joshua Kulp and wife Raven, Gabriel Kulp and wife Amanda, Noel McQuaid and husband J.C., Grace Gooley and husband Chris, Noah Bassett and wife Shania, Cole Bassett and wife Krista, Riley Bassett, and Will Bassett; thirteen great-grandchildren; his brother Jack Wallace and wife Linda of Oldfield; nieces and nephews: and a host of family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO with Rev. Phillip Housley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
