Robby Lynn Upfold, 74, of Mansfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1951, in Canyon, Texas, to James Upfold and Frances Berniece Harlin Upfold.
Robby lived a quiet and contemplative life, grounded in a deep and enduring faith. He loved reading the Bible and often spoke with warmth and conviction about Jesus and the presence of God in the world. His conversations frequently returned to spiritual matters, and his belief in grace, kindness, and hope left an impression on those who listened. He found joy in sharing scripture and in reflecting on how to live with purpose and compassion.
He also cared deeply about the world beyond his own, often writing thoughtful letters to elected officials with ideas for creating a more just and peaceful society. His room was filled with books—on mathematics, culture, and history—a testament to his curious mind and lifelong love of learning.
Though he had no surviving family, Robby’s gentle spirit and sincere faith touched the hearts of the staff and residents who came to know him in his later years. He will be remembered not only for his quiet nature, but for the light he carried and shared in small, meaningful ways.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 2, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Robby will be laid to rest in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, Texas, returning to the town where his life began.
