Garfield Owens left a message on July 28, 2025:
Mr. D was a colleague but I called him my brother. Every morning before I went to my work station ( as I Watch him eat a ton of mayonnaise) Lol we would talk... I was always so impressed with his knowledge and kindness even when he was being wronged. He thought me how to remain calm during adversity. I have so may memories. We started one of the first week-long self-defense training even though he was more knowledgeable, he allowed me too grow. My heart is broken and I will miss him dearly. God bless you my brother. Your little brother Garfield.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My Condolences to the family of my friend Donald Edwin DeHart. Donald and I grew up together in Pulaski, Virginia where we attended grade school and High School. We met up again at Virginia Tech and formed an a cappella group called “Inner Peace” with two other friends. Donald was my best man at my wedding in August 1977 and I will never forget the outstanding friend he was to me at all times. I will look forward to seeing him again one day and maybe sing a couple of tunes together! ❤️
