Charles (Chuck) Lee Ramsey was born October 23, 1938, to parents Paul and Evaline Ramsey. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1956, and Pittsburg State University in 1960 with a BS in Education. He received his MS in Education in 1969 from Pittsburg State University. Upon graduating from college, he spent seven years at Main Variety in Monett.
Chuck married Cynthia Burke on June 19, 1964. He taught and coached at Monett High School in Monett, Missouri, and Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri. He retired in 1997 from teaching and coaching, but still remained active in the Missouri High School Coaches Association, serving as President. He failed retirement and returned to coaching football for several years at Cherokee Middle School and Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri. He was a member of the First and Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Chuck never met a stranger and he was always ready with a joke to tell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, a daughter, Susan Lee Ramsey and grandson, Griffin Tad Ramsey, of Atlanta, Georgia.
Services will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, 820 E. Cherry, Springfield, MO. Visitation is at 9:00am., funeral at 10:00, with reception following.
