Cynthia and Lee, I was so sorry to hear about Chuck’s death. I remember him fondly, and both of you too. Our families shared football games, after parties, road trips, and best of all, camping trips together. Later, in college Chuck was a mentor during my student teaching and practicum at Parkview. He tortured me making me type for him on an old manual typewriter! He was a master teacher and helped me get my first job. He always told the best jokes and was a joy to be around. Both of my parents thought highly of all of you. I’m sure Dad and Chuck are working out the ultimate football plays in heaven. I had a flood of memories after speaking with you today. God bless you both and may he grant you comfort, Lee and Cynthia.

Coach Ramsey, thank you for guidance and encouragement during our time on the football field. There is not a week that goes by where I don't utter a "Ramseyism" to my family, friends, or congregation member. You made a difference in countless lives, and I am thankful our paths crossed at Parkview High School.

I worked with Chuck at Parkview. He was a great English teacher, in the old school tradition. When I first began teaching in 1986, I walked past Chuck's room everyday on the way to mine. He often stopped me to ask a grammar question. He knew the answer--he was testing me. I'm thankful to have passed! There was a crew of us who ate lunch together everyday in the English/social studies book room. I always enjoyed Chuck's jokes and stories. Chuck Ramsey was an outstanding human being.

Chuck Ramsey was my high school coach and teacher from 1971-1974 in Monett, Mo. He was kind enough to attend my classes 50 year reunion where I was able to enjoy a long conversation about those years and our years since. What a impactful life he achieved. Thinking about you Cynthia!

Bruce Stockton left a message on October 21, 2025:
Coach Ramsey was my coach for Sunday School and Football, he taught the same life lessons and principles, although the tone was sometimes different on the field that in the basement of the Methodist church. The most important life lesson I learned from him and Coach Lawson was the year a few of us Sophomores got to start on a few Friday nights because a few senior classmen made a bad decision. As much as our team needed those Seniors to start, Coach stuck to the discipline at hand and showed us respect by holding everyone accountable and in the end, we were State Champions that year. Coach Ramsey will forever remain our Champion.
