Earnest Lloyd “Earnie” Farr, Jr., 54, of Marble Rock, IA, passed away on May 15, 2026 in his hometown of Springfield, MO. He was born on January 10, 1972 in Springfield and lived most of his life in northeast Iowa after moving there as a teenager.

Earnie was a hard-working man who devoted much of his career to concrete work for Schroeder Construction. He was known as “The Concrete Guy” around Marble Rock.

Outside of work, Earnie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a love for Scooby Doo and loud music, with a particular passion for heavy metal and the iconic band Kiss. These interests brought him happiness and were often shared with his family and friends. He also attended the Marble Rock United Methodist Church.

Earnie is survived by his mother, Shirley Witham; his father, Earnest Farr, Sr. and Brenda Fleetwood; his children, Brandon & family, Justin, Taylor & family, and Nicole & family; his sister, Jennifer Olson (Alan); his niece and nephew, Samantha and Isaac Olson, and many grandchildren.

A private family service will be held. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
