James “Jim” Blackburn Pasley, born April 7, 1958, in Rolla Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, hard work, and cherished memories.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Luanne Pasley; his two sons, Cale Pasley and his wife, Angie, and Dylan Pasley and his wife, Jordan; four grandchildren, Cash James Pasley, Maddie Bax (Jacob), Gavin Stricklan (Kayla), and Cash Wesley Stricklan; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Pasley and his wife, Brandi; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Pasley and Katie Pasley; his brother-in-law, Gary Sinnott; and his sister-in-law, Jodi Sinnott.
After graduating high school in 1976, Jim continued his education at CMSU-Warrensburg graduating in 1982 with a BA in Wildlife Biology. He worked for 15 years at many wildlife areas for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Jim had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed the freedom and adventure that came with riding. He also loved spending time tinkering in his shop, where he could work with his hands and pursue the projects he enjoyed. For 30 years, Jim proudly owned and operated Jim’s Auto Supply, building a life and business that reflected his dedication, determination, and love for his community.
Above all, Jim cherished his family. His memory will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, and all those whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the years of memories, laughter, and love he gave to those around him.
Rest in peace, Jim. Your memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved you.
In lieu of funeral services, Jim’s family extends an invitation to all family and friends to attend a celebration of life at The Red Shed 169 Truman Street, Doolittle, MO 65402 on August 22, 2026 beginning at 1:00 pm with food provided at 2:00 pm.
