Mary Ann Ryan began her life’s journey on April 15, 1934. She passed away 85 years later peacefully at home, comforted by her husband Cecil and lovingly surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Mary Ann was the eternal caregiver. As the oldest of 3 children, she cared for her little brothers and then as a registered nurse spent countless hours caring for others. She retired from Aurora Community Hospital in Aurora, MO where she had worked for more than 20 years.
Mary Ann loved family – in June of 1956, she and Cecil Ryan were united in marriage, sharing over 63 years together. She is survived by her husband Cecil, of the home, her two sons Mark (Sybil) Billings, MO.; John (Terri) Marshfield, MO.; Jim (Tracy) Ozark, MO.; her two daughters Alicia Schmidt (Ron) Phoenix, AZ.; Angie Tombleson (Mike) Willard, MO; granddaughters Michelle Schmidt, Phoenix AZ, Laura Ryan, Red Wood CA, Emily Ryan-Decker, Springfield, MO.; Cierra Ryan-Gaylon, Republic, MO.; grandsons, Ryan Tombleson, Willard, MO.; Race Ryan, Florida, Jacob Ryan, Marshfield, MO.; and two great granddaughters, Zoe Harrison, Phoenix, AZ.; Stella Gaylon, Republic, MO.
Mary Ann and Cecil are longtime members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Billings, MO. A mass in her memory will be offered at 11:00 a.m on Thursday, January 23rd at 320 NW Washington Ave, Billings, MO 65610 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. prior to the mass. The family invites you to join them for a meal at the church following mass. Mary Ann will be interred at 9:00 a.m Friday, January 24th at 5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

Mary Ann’s children – would like to thank the staff at Seasons Hospice, (especially, Marcie and Jo) for the care and support they gave our parents and our family.
A heartfelt thank you to Teresa Sonderman, FNP for her patience, compassion, understanding and guidance she showed in caring for our Mom and Dad. Teresa went above and beyond what anyone would have expected. God holds a special place for you.
