Clara Roberta Nimmo peacefully joined her Savior in Heaven on January 14, 2020, at the age of 89.

Clara was born on July 21, 1930, to William Roy and Ellen Etta (Foster) Mallard in Willard, MO. Clara and Floyd Nimmo were united in marriage on March 4, 1948, and shared over 65 years together and were blessed with two daughters, Carol and Linda.

Clara was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Senior High School in Springfield. Clara accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and spent the majority of her life as an active member of South Side Baptist Church and High Street Baptist Church. Clara loved the Lord and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years while a member at South Side Baptist Church. Clara was happiest when she was at church and serving others. Clara enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her family and especially her great-granddaughters. Clara will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Clara is survived by her loving family: daughter, Linda S. McCarthy; granddaughter, Jennifer D. Culp and husband Terry; and great-granddaughters, Abigail and Gabrielle Culp; and many friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Nimmo; daughter, Carol Nimmo; siblings, Doris Jean Sartin and Billy Mallard.

Services for Clara will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 20, 2020, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with interment following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
