Allen R. Rinner, 72, of Springfield, MO, died November 27, 2021, at his home. His body will be cremated, and a memorial will be held in Wayland, Iowa, on a later date.
Allen was born June 6, 1949, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Lou (Johnson) Rinner. He graduated from Waco High School. He joined the U.S. Army Reserves following high school and, upon returning home, he went to work at Cranes in Washington, Iowa. There he learned the trade of tool and dye making. He worked various places throughout his career in Iowa, Arkansas, Arizona, and Illinois before retiring in Springfield, MO. Allen was married to Diane Harvey and became the father of two children, Stacy and Mitzi. Allen and Diane Later divorced, and he was united in marriage to Linda (Bowles) Rinner.
Allen is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda; daughters, Stacy Rinner of Washington, IA, and Mitzi Elbert of Mount Vernon, Iowa; stepchildren, David (Stacy) Cook of Jacksonville, AR, and Amy (Erik) Erne of Wallingford, CT; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Wesley ( Donna) Rinner; sister, Jolene (Francis) Bowman; sister, Marva (Don) Crowl; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lou Rinner.
