Amy Lynn Barron was born August 25, 1984 and went home to her Lord and Savior on September 5, 2023. She was a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Kickapoo High School for 12 years and also coached cheer and dance, her school kids meant the world to her. She graduated from Willard High School in 2002. Amy earned a Bachelors degree in FACS from Missouri State University, and was two classes away from completing her Master’s degree and was also working on her Specialist at the same time.

Amy loved crafting, she enjoyed making tumblers with Katie, Payton, Alyssa. She also enjoyed all things outdoors related like hunting, fishing, and camping. Her favorite season was fall and she loved having bonfires with her family. One of her and her fiancé, Rick Beirman’s favorite place in the world to be at was Disney World. Her favorite ride was the Haunted Mansion, which she rode about 50 times during her trips.

Amy and Rick started talking on April 16, 2020 when they met through a widow’s support group that Rick helped run. She had a passion for helping her widow community. Amy had lost her beloved husband, Joshua Barron on November 18, 2019 due to ALS. She and Rick often talked about how fortunate they were to be able to experience true love not only once, but twice in their lives, since Rick’s wife had also passed on February 16, 2018. The moment that Rick saw Amy it was love at first sight, and they both traveled every weekend between Missouri and Indiana to be with each other. Rick proposed to Amy on July 12, 2020 and planned their wedding for June 8, 2024.

Amy’s greatest accomplishment in her life were her three boys Cooper, Foster, and Lawson. She loved every minute spending time with her boys and always told them to “make good choices”. She was their biggest supporter and always showed up to their games to cheer them on. Amy was very proud of the twins for their cheer scholarships to Drury University, and was always very excited to watch Lawson play football.

Amy made a great effort to watch her best friend and sister, Candy perform in her band at different venues around the area. Amy and Candy have been best friends since the first grade and have shared a lot of fun memories throughout the years like like attending concerts together.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Dean; her stepfather Dennis Orsburn, and her stepsister Debbie Mingus.

Amy is survived by her fiancé Rick Beirman as well as her three sons, Cooper Barron, Foster Barron, and Lawson Peck. She is also survived by her grandmother Lometa Rathgeber, her mother Toni Orsburn, her brother Travis Beaver (Sarah), her stepsister Donna Larimore, her stepbrother David Orsburn as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Amy had a saying that we all try to live by, “If you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine.”
